À Nous La Démocratie!

À Nous La Démocratie! is a French citizen movement founded in 2016 by eight citizens who wanted to fundamentally transform how the French political system functions. Non-partisan and citizen-led, it advocates for institutional reforms to shift political power toward citizens.

Their core proposals include the RIC (Référendum d'Initiative Citoyenne — Citizen Initiative Referendum), which would allow citizens to trigger binding referendums; sortition for certain legislative roles; non-accumulation of elected terms; and strengthened accountability mechanisms. The movement federates other French initiatives working toward similar goals.

The movement organises regular local assemblies and public events across France and has remained active through to at least 2025.
