Ciudadanía Inteligente
Fundación Ciudadano Inteligente (Ciudadanía Inteligente) develops digital tools and advocacy strategies to make democracy more participatory, transparent, and responsive across Latin America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2009, it was one of the earliest civic-tech organisations in the region and has influenced a generation of open-government and citizen-participation initiatives.
Its work spans election transparency (covering Chile's 2025 presidential second round), civil society capacity-building (the Curso Transparentes programme with Chile Transparente, supported by the EU), and advocacy for open government and civic space. The framing is deliberate — "making democracy a shared, just, and transformative experience" — positioning civic technology not as an end in itself but as infrastructure for a more participatory political culture.
