Participedia
Participedia is a collaborative academic platform hosted by the University of British Columbia and Harvard University. It functions as a living encyclopaedia of participatory democracy — cataloguing case studies, methods, and organisations from across the world with structured, comparable data.
For anyone researching what democratic innovations have actually been tried, where, and with what results, Participedia is one of the most comprehensive starting points available. The database covers citizens' assemblies, participatory budgeting, deliberative polls, community consultations, digital democracy experiments, and much more — with enough detail to understand both design and outcome.
The platform is open-access and contributions are welcome, making it a useful place to document new cases as well as research existing ones.
