Civics Ecosystem Toolkit v1.2 Released

The Civics Ecosystem Toolkit v1.2 is now publicly available. This is a project that has been developing quietly for a while and feels ready to share more broadly.

What It Is

The Civics Ecosystem Toolkit is a practical reference document for anyone working on participatory civic structures, particularly in the Australian context. It covers seven topic areas including:

  • Cooperative governance models
  • The Civics Ecosystem Cooperative — a proposed structure for sustaining civic participation
  • The Party Members Fund — a mechanism to support grassroots involvement in democratic processes
  • Ecosystem design principles for building durable civic infrastructure

It is not a finished manifesto — it is a living document intended to be refined as ideas are tested in practice.

Where To Find It

The toolkit lives in its own repository and is published at:

The project page on this wiki will track future developments.

What's Next

Version 1.2 represents a consolidation of ideas developed over the past year. Feedback is welcome — reach out through the usual community channels if you have thoughts or want to collaborate on refining the concepts.
