RepresentUs
RepresentUs is a US nonpartisan anti-corruption organisation co-founded in 2012 by Josh Silver and Joshua Graham Lynn,1 structured as a 501(c)(4) advocacy group with a 501(c)(3) education fund. It describes itself as "America's leading nonpartisan grassroots organization fighting for a government accountable to the people."
Its reform portfolio spans ranked-choice voting and open primaries, independent citizen redistricting commissions, campaign finance limits and disclosure, and lobbying restrictions — packaged originally around the American Anti-Corruption Act, model legislation drafted with input from across the political spectrum. The organisation works through volunteer chapters and ballot-measure campaigns rather than endorsing candidates, deliberately pairing progressive, moderate, and conservative supporters.
Its ballot-measure record includes supporting New York City's 2019 adoption of ranked-choice voting, Alaska's 2020 top-four primary and RCV measure, and Nevada's 2022 top-five RCV initiative, alongside anti-gerrymandering wins in Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, and Utah in 2018. Earlier, its support helped establish Maine's ranked-choice voting system.[^maine]
