Open Government Partnership — Australia
Australia participated in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) — an international multilateral initiative in which governments commit to concrete reforms on transparency, civic participation, and accountability. Australia's first National Action Plan (2016–18) comprised 15 commitments across four themes: transparency, citizen empowerment, anti-corruption, and technology to strengthen governance.
The dedicated OGP Australia site (ogpau.pmc.gov.au) was hosted by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. Australia's OGP membership lapsed after 2018 and was not renewed under subsequent governments.
