Citizen OS
Citizen OS is an Estonian open-source platform for civic participation — group discussions, co-creation of proposals, online petitions, and consultations. Built by a non-profit foundation, it integrates with Estonia's national e-ID infrastructure to support binding digital signatures in the Estonian context. The platform was relaunched with a new design in 2024.
Citizen OS has been deployed in 50+ countries. It has a particularly active branch in Indonesia (Jakarta), where it has been used for citizen consultations on urban policy, and is available in English, Estonian, German, Slovak, and Russian.
